why does it take so long to connect to google

WOW! I had suffered ever since upgrading to Windows 10 so I switched to Firefox. I really hated to switch as Chrome has so many other features I love. Finding this solution as well as un-checking the compatibility mode, makes my browser work as if it were a brand new computer. Thank you Thank you Thank you. After hanging up my IT hat 5 years ago, I named myself TooTechnical for reasons such as this.

I am now in love again with Chrome. Now - if you can help me figure out a way to root my Alcatel Onetouch A564c and manage the internal memory issue, then all would be right in this world for me. But, after many hours of research I have begun to withdraw from this battle as I believe it is simply not possible with this model.

Many Thanks again.
The Google Chrome web browser can, sometimes, take too long to load a page for various reasons. Internet surfing speed suffers when loading heavy javascript web pages, and memory consumption in Chrome is huge.

Additionally, if Google Chrome seems to take a long time to load a website or search, it may be configured to access pages through a web proxy. This FAQ will show you how to speed up Google Chrome by resolving this issue. Click Tools Options Under the Hood. In the Network section, click Change proxy settings.

This will open the Internet Properties dialog. Click LAN settings, and uncheck the box next to Automatically detect settings.
